Now I would like to introduce myself. I am Frieda Nelson and I paint in acrylics,
watercolor, do drawings in varied media, make woodblock
prints and have been showing my work since I recieved my
BA from Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn. I began teaching
art and design after the University of Iowa trusted me with
an MA. Upon coming to Canada I held teaching positions at
the University of Guelph University of Waterloo
and Conestoga College, Kitchener,
Ontario.
My work is in corporate and private collections in many
places..the Toronto-Dominion Center, Toronto; Kitchener-Waterloo
Art Gallery; Kitchener City Hall; Sommers Collection at the
University of Toronto.
The paintings are in acrylic on canvas with wrapped edges
and are 10 inches($180),14 inches($280) and 20 inches square
($380). The ones that are other shapes are larger and they
are priced accordingly. Please inquire about an individual
one since they do sell, are often out at shows or can be
otherwise unavailable.
I use my photos for web site backgrounds, to make images and
photo objects for them and also to sell individually.
I will happily come to your location in Southern Ontario to take
photos for your web site. If you like I can make a cd of photos
for you to use in any way you like. The backgrounds on this
site and the photos of BJ, my little white sidekick, show you one way this can work.
I do web design and design for paper projects to your specifications
